1.Product Overview

TN97OBU 2 is a dual port optical power amplifier board designed for OptiX OSN9800 series wavelength division devices.It belongs to the OBU series optical power amplifier unit and uses EDFA erbium-doped fiber amplification technology as its core.It focuses on improving the power and output of C-band optical signals and is suitable for DWDM system transmission end power amplification and long-distance link end power compensation scenarios.It is deployed in a single slot and is a key optical layer power enhancement board for backbone ultra long distance and metropolitan core DWDM networks.

Basic specifications and physical characteristics

TN97OBU 2 adopts a standard single slot board structure, with physical dimensions of 261.5mm, 202.6mm, and 22.0mm, and a weight not exceeding 0.8kg.The power supply uses 48V DC, with a voltage range of 38.4V to 57.6V, a typical power consumption of 48W, and a maximum power consumption of 58W.The standard operating temperature range is 0? to 45?, the extended range is 5? to 55?, the storage temperature is -40? to 70?, the relative humidity is 5% to 95%, and there is no condensation.The MTBF is not less than 150000 hours, and it has passed CE FCC RoHS certification, meeting the requirements of high reliability and environmental protection of telecommunications grade.The panel is equipped with STAT, ACT, ROG, SRV four-color indicator lights for monitoring hardware status, business activation, software loading, and alarm information.The laser safety level is HAZARD LEVEL 1.

Two core functions and optical amplification capability

TN97OBU 2 has dual port independent optical power amplification capability, supports full band signal amplification from 1529.16nm to 1567.13nm in the C-band, and is compatible with 50GHz interval DWDM 96 wave networking. Adopting EDFA erbium-doped fiber amplification technology, it supports three working modes: automatic power control (APC), automatic gain control (AGC), and automatic pump current control (ACC), which can be flexibly switched according to the power requirements of the transmitting end. The gain range supports adjustable 18dB to 32dB, with a gain flatness of ≤ 0.8dB, ensuring balanced amplification of multi wavelength signals. The typical value of noise coefficient is ≤ 5.2dB, which can control noise accumulation while increasing output power, and is suitable for ultra long distance transmission scenarios. Support real-time monitoring function of optical power, which can monitor input and output optical power, pump current, pump temperature, trigger alarms in case of abnormalities, support optical power threshold setting and automatic shutdown protection, ensuring the safety of the laser and link. Support pump redundancy protection, automatic switching in case of single pump failure, improving the reliability of board operation. Support the implementation of 1+1 optical layer protection in conjunction with optical switch boards, with a service switching time not exceeding 50ms, meeting the high reliability requirements of critical services.

Three light interface parameters

TN97OBU 2 is equipped with 2 independent optical amplification ports and uses LC duplex connectors to support unidirectional optical signal transmission amplification.The input optical power range is -30dBm to -6dBm, and the output optical power range is adjustable from 2dBm to 20dBm, suitable for different power compensation requirements at the transmitting end and link end.The pump laser adopts a dual pump architecture of 980nm and 1480nm to improve amplification efficiency and reliability.The dispersion tolerance is not less than 12000ps/nm, suitable for standard single-mode fiber ultra long distance transmission scenarios.

Compatibility and deployment requirements for four versions

TN97OBU 2 is compatible with OSN9800/8800 system V100R010C00 version, and is paired with TN52UXCM, TN52XCH, and TN16UXCM main control boards.Support deployment in OSN9800 UPS, U64, U32 subracks and OSN8800 T64, T32 subracks, single slot installation, no additional space occupation required.When deployed, it is mainly used as a power amplifier board at the transmitting end or a power compensation board at the end of the link, in conjunction with FIU, D40, M40, OBU and other wavelength division cards to build a complete DWDM optical layer system.Support mixed networking with TN12OBU and TN13OBU series of optical power amplifier cards for smooth upgrade and expansion.
