As an OTN line board, the N402 board converts 160 ODU0, 80 ODU1, 20 ODU2, 20 ODU2e, 4 ODU3, 2 ODU4, or 160 ODUflex signals into 2 OTU4 signals carried over 2 ITU-T G.694.1 compliant DWDM wavelength, and vice versa.Each port on the board supports a mix of ODU0, ODU1, ODU2/ODU2e, ODU3, and ODUflex signals.The N402 board uses coherent detection technology and is targeted for coherent communications.

For the WDM-side A51 or A62 optical module, the receive and transmit wavelengths must be the same.Both A51 and A62 modules do not support wavelength change by configuring regeneration boards.

In this application scenario, the Board Mode parameter of this board must be set to Electrical Relay Mode or Optical Relay Mode.

  • Optical Relay Mode: In this mode, OCh trails can be managed across regeneration sites, and only a few OCh trails need to be managed on the NMS.
  • Electrical Relay Mode: In this mode, OCh trails are managed based on the regeneration sections divided by regeneration sites.

In this application scenario, the receive and transmit optical ports of optical signals must be IN1/OUT1 and IN2/OUT2 port pairs.
