1.Product Overview

TN54NS3 is a 1-port 40G OTN line service processing board designed for OptiX OSN9800, OSN8800, and OSN6800 series wavelength division devices.Its core work is in electrical relay REG mode and line terminal TM mode, completing 3R regeneration of single 40G rate signals, OTN encapsulation and decapsulation, multi granularity service aggregation, layer crossing, and wavelength conversion.It is compatible with U32 and U64 subrack universal slots and is the core service board for backbone and metropolitan 40G wavelength division networks.

1.Basic specifications and physical characteristics

TN54NS3 adopts a standard 1U half width board structure, with physical dimensions of 261.5mm, 202.6mm, and 22.0mm, and a weight not exceeding 0.8kg, supporting dense deployment in data centers.The power supply adopts 48V DC, with a voltage range of 38.4V to 57.6V, a typical power consumption of 85W, and a maximum power consumption of 95W when fully equipped with single 40G business.The standard operating temperature range is 0? to 45?, the extended range is 5? to 55?, the storage temperature is 40? to 70?, the relative humidity is 5% to 95% without condensation, and the MTBF is not less than 100000 hours.It has passed CE, FCC, and RoHS certifications, meeting the requirements of telecom grade reliability and environmental protection.

2.Core functions and business processing capabilities

The business speed supports two 40G OTN standards, OTU3 43.02Gbit/s and OTU3e 44.58Gbit/s, and is compatible with customer side business access such as 40GE, STM-256, OC-768, FC3200, etc. The business mapping capability supports the aggregation of 32 ODU0, 32 ODUflex, 16 ODU1, 4 ODU2, 4 ODU2e, and 1 ODU3 into 1 OTU3. It also supports the mapping of 4 ODU2e to 1 OTU3e and 256 VC-4 to 1 OTU3, achieving efficient aggregation of multi granularity low-speed business and high-speed wavelength modulation. The error correction mode supports standard FEC and enhanced AFEC, which can significantly improve OSNR tolerance and extend the maximum transmission distance of standard single-mode fiber from 80km to 160km. The cost processing is complete and supports OTN SM, PM, TCM costs, ESC embedded control channels, and PRBS testing to ensure network management and monitoring requirements. Loop back testing supports line side, customer side, ODU0, ODU1, ODU2, and ODU3 channel loop back, facilitating fault location and business debugging. Protection mechanism includes 1+1 protection inside the cover plate ODUk SNCP, The SNCP branch has a service switching time of no more than 50ms, meeting the high reliability requirements of critical services.

3.Optical interface parameters

One 40G optical port is equipped on the line side, using LC duplex connectors and modulation methods of NRZ or DQPSK.The optical module supports two types: XFP fixed wavelength and TXFP adjustable wavelength.The fixed wavelength module is suitable for 100GHz/50GHz intervals, while the adjustable wavelength module supports C-band 50GHz intervals with 80 waves that can be fully adjusted.The working wavelength covers 1528.77nm to 1563.86nm.The typical range of transmission optical power is 2dBm to 0dBm, and the receiving sensitivity is better than 18dBm under BER ≤ 10E-12 conditions.The dispersion tolerance is not less than 1600ps/nm, making it suitable for long-distance single-mode fiber transmission scenarios.

4.Version compatibility

The TN54NS3 basic model is compatible with OSN9800/8800/6800 system V100R007C00 version at a minimum, paired with TN52UXCM and TN52XCH main control boards, supporting basic OTU3 processing, FEC error correction, and TM mode.Supporting REG electric relay mode requires V100R008C00 and above system versions, with the addition of 50GHz fixed wavelength and AFEC enhanced error correction capability;Supporting sub models of ODUflex and OTU3e requires V100R009C00 and above versions, suitable for Super WDM high-density scheduling and flexible networking scenarios.

5.Typical application scenarios

TN54NS3 is mainly used in three major scenarios: first, ultra long distance electric relay REG sites, which achieve 3R regeneration of a single 40G signal in backbone DWDM links, significantly reducing the number of relay sites and improving network coverage and bandwidth density; The second is multi service aggregation and wavelength conversion, which aggregates multiple low-speed ODU/VC services into OTU3 signals or completes the conversion of 40GE/STM-256 to DWDM wavelengths on the customer side, adapting to the aggregation of high-capacity services at the core network entrance; The third is OTN protection and flexible scheduling, combined with ODUk SNCP to achieve rapid switching of key services, adjustable wavelength sub models to adapt to mesh networks and dynamic business networking, quickly adjust channel resources, and improve network utilization.
