Planar Lightwave Circuit Splitter (PLC) is used in passive optical networks (PON) to split the signal of one incoming optical fiber into multiple outgoing fibers.The number of outgoing fibers (signal receivers) can vary from 2 to 128.

This type of planar divider is equipped with SC/UPC connectors.
